2022 "Christmas on the Square" Saturday, December 3 / 4pm-7pm

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Looking for a magical, holiday event for everyone of all ages to enjoy a night out with family and friends? Then this is the community event for you! The first Saturday in December marks the date of the annual holiday festival set on the charming courthouse square in Waynesboro. “Christmas on the Square" is proudly hosted by the Downtown Waynesboro Committee. It is an community event that started in 2020. The festival is prior to the Rotary Christmas Parade. It features multiple craft and food vendors with a varied collection of hand-crafted goodies from a wide assortment of vendors. Items available for purchase range among hand-crafted holiday ornaments, home décor, painted wooden signs, door hangers, soaps, hand-made jewelry, scented candles, custom made shirts/hoodies, delicious foods, baked goods, hot drinks and much, much more! Live entertainment of locals entertainers adds to the holiday cheer of the season.Many local, home-based, businesses participate allowing the community to become acquainted with the various types of products and services they offer by showcasing their talents and providing information. Community clubs, organizations, non-profits and church groups will also join in with the festivities as well. Santa, The Grinch, Micky & Minnie and more are available for pictures with the kids. The square merchants host their own unique “Merry-Making” kid activities/give-a-ways in front of their shops as well. This is a "free" event with vendor set-up fees waived. Yes, it is totally free for those who chooses to participate. The Downtown Waynesboro Committee invites everyone to enjoy the fantastic arts and crafts, food, scenery, live entertainment, and our old southern hospitality. A host of activities to entertain visitors will certainly start your holiday season off jolly with great shopping, good food and wonderful fellowship while supporting our quaint little community throughout the years. We anticipate this event will continue to grow with new activities to keep it fresh and exciting from year to year. Therefore, we encourage all interested vendors to partake at no cost!
