Downtown Waynesboro CommitteeAbout Us

Who / What is the Downtown Waynesboro Committee?

Downtown Waynesboro is an affiliate of Tennessee's Main Street program.  We are a nonprofit organization that has been working for over a decade to help revitalize downtown Waynesboro.

The Downtown Waynesboro Committee is comprised of dedicated volunteers who work hard to make a difference in the community.  They are community event organizers and passionate advocates with goals to strengthen the community by providing training, support and grant opportunities to assist in revitalization efforts for small businesses and building owners located in the designated project area.

Putting the spotlight on the small "mom and pop shops" within the defined project area is a delight for the committee.  Waynesboro's designated project area concentrates on a historic, traditional, commercial district that is over 100 years old.  The approved area includes the north, south, east and west sides of the public square, East Hollis Street, and South High Street.

The Downtown Waynesboro Committee encourages citizens, visitors, and investors to join us for our regular monthly meetings the third Thursday at 5:30pm.  Message us ahead and let us know you will be joining us due to the meeting place changes each month.  We would love to hear your thoughts and your involvement.
